AEM's patented Air Bypass Valve virtually eliminates the chance of hydro-lock in the event the filter of your AEM Cold Air induction system becomes submerged in water. On most systems, the valve installs along the upper portion of the inlet pipe and shuts down induction at the filter when it becomes submerged, rerouting air through its external diaphragm to keep water out and air flowing in. Check with your dealer or call AEM for more information on air bypass valve installation locations. The AEM Air Bypass Valve is C.A.R.B. exempt on AEM Cold Air induction systems only and is NOT for use on forced induction vehicles. Patent #6,394,128.

(More customer reviews)I installed the replacement cabin air filter in my 2007 Honda Accord after having the vehicle for 18 months, and it made a pretty good difference in the air quality and velocity.So, I decided to replace the one in the 2004 Honda Civic as well -- the instructions were clear, except that you have to use a little force to push the tabs from the inside of the glove comparment outward, and then the glovebox falls down.

The whole thing took under 10 minutes end to end, and I expect to get better results with the Civic since these filters had never been changed.

reason for 4 stars vs 5... Directions in the kit are poor quality at best.
the pictures are what make it easier to assemble.
this kit was for my 2003 Tacoma, although the kit online at True Flow said this was the correct kit, the instructions and box matched thru 2002 toyota tacoma. same motor & setup as my 2003 V6. Works like a champ.

1. Have your tools ready.
2. Cross check to make sure all parts fit prior to assembling.
3. Rear hose requires you to change a bracket. easy
4. Clean the air box inside and out.
5. If the filter has excess oil (juice) clean up
6. Required about 1 hour to take apart old setup and assemble this one.
7. Disconnecting battery allows the sensors to reset, also loses your odometer (1 & 2) not over all mileage.

when complete you will notice a slighty more pronounced air sound while driving. no big deal. have not noticed a mileage increase yet since its only been driven a few miles around here and to store and back. expect minor gain.
Like the product, over time saves dollars and environment.

The only problem I had was the kit was manufactured sometime before the date of my car, and the car design had changed slightly since the kits Mfg. date making the unit somewhat uncompatable.
I was able to call the manufacturer on this problem, and they were more than happy to send me the needed modifications to make this kit usable in my car.Would have been nice if instructions by the Mfg. were more detailed.

This jacket has three layers, the outside mesh, the middle wind/water proof, and the interior insulation. The outside mesh has the armor and feels very secure and safe on its own. I can also configure it any way I want, I can wear it mesh only, with just the wind/water shield, just the insulation inside, or all three layers to stay warm. The first night I received the jacket I had to work til 3am with the temperature in the low 40s and I was comfortable. I've also had the opportunity to wear it into the 80s and the wind comes right through the mesh. Overall, this is an exceptional jacket and I'm glad I bought it.

(More customer reviews)This replacement filter is not the same quality that Acura installs in the car.The OEM filter has more structural rigidity which fits better & the OEM filter has charcoal impregnated filter material.This filter may work OK & the price is much lower than Acura would charge but I think I will stay with the OEM filter next time.

(More customer reviews)The intake looks great but this does not increase your power nor gives you better MPG's. The only thing you'll get is the sound of the air being sucked in into the engine. I drive 40 miles each way to work so I have plenty of time to monitor my gas/miles & I can not see any improvement in the pass 8 time I have filled up my tank. I also know that this is plenty of time for the ECU to learn the new change in (CFM) air volume coming in into the throttlebody. The rubber bushing that holds the chrome pipe to the heat shield broke with in the first 2 days of having it on. I had to create my own rubber bushing assembly to keep it from staying loose in the engine compartment. The installation of the air sensor in the pipe was very difficult. I had to add a small amount of oil to the rubber gasket & take my time inserting the sensor so it didn't get broken or the gasket becomes torn. I wish I could return mine. Get a K&N regular filter & you'll provably obtain a better result for $50 plus dollars that $170 for this!!

Performance, especially at low rpm, was dramatically improved.Installation went easy, but not because of instructions.The instructions are woefully inadequate.All services, including tech, were outstanding in every way. A telephone to tech about install solved all problems and it turned out to be simple. Price is less than half the cost of a new factory filter, performance is twice as good as a new factory filter, and better than other aftermarket filters.

CRC 05110 Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner - 11 Wt Oz. Review

(More customer reviews)I bought a 1999 monte carlo (V6, 3.1L) last year with just over 120k miles on it, it ran... pretty good... most of the time... but occasionally it would stall or bog down at times. No matter, I paid peanuts for it, it has a nice warm heater, cold A/C, dreamy ride, and loud stereo, so I was happy. You can't win them all...

Well, the most recent time it bogged down I was going uphill on the interstate and it bogged down for a bit, but this time, the engine light came on. Ah-ha! A clue! I said... I took the car up to smyth automotive and had them read the code, which was P0101 (MAF circuit, range or performance problem).

I took the car home and sure enough it was putting out maybe 15 Hz at idle, 28 Hz at 3500 rpm. (you need an oscilloscope or frequency counter to measure the output with the GM sensor, should be much higher apparently, maybe 35-80 Hz). I contemplated getting a new MAF sensor but saw this product and thought why not try it? After the cleaning, as soon as I turned the key, the engine light went out. Performance was just like a new car! I floored it, and my head was thrust into the headrest 'with gusto' ;) as the speedo approached scary numbers rather quickly.

I showed the product to my dad and we tried it on his 1999 suburban 5.7, which has had the engine light on for years (has close to 300k miles now)... a decent improvment there as well.

Bottom line is, if your car is due for a new MAF sensor you really ought to try this stuff, remember it is a delicate and precise instrument so handle accordingly! Please do not try brake cleaner, isopropanol, simplegreen, or whatever else you might read about on the internet. (you know, the "trust me, I'm an engineer" crowd). Spend the $5 and get on with it.

This is still a relatively new product and is it seems like it is just starting to hit the tuner/hotrod scene (those high-zoot "oiled filters" can have potentially disastrous results on a MAF sensor!)
