Maybe it is more effective with other vehicles, or maybe I set the bar too high. (After all, the Tornado is essentially a small piece of twisted metal.) In either case, I dont discourage you from giving this product a shot, I just dont endorse the decision.

(More customer reviews)I know very little about aftermarket intakes, but from what I've read online, and heard from mechanics, all systems are pretty much the same. I purchased an AIRAID b/c they are one of the few makers that have equipment available for the new JK. Installation was fairly easy,although it does take some elbow grease to get everything fitted properly. Total time spent on removing factory intake, and installing AIRAID was bout 45 minutes. The system increased acceleration, specifically in 2nd and 3rd (I have an automatic), which was sorely needed, and the reason for my purchasing an aftermarket intake. Fuel milage improves somewhat, but I wouldn't pay $225 for the increase in fuel milage alone. The best part is that the engine growls when you push the pedal, but is not any more louder than normal when idle or at speed. All in all, I am very pleased. Hope this helps.

Beware though, there are some people who say the K&N doesn't initially filter finer particulates. Its not until the filter itself is a little dirty will it filter the smaller debris. Some also don't recommend that you clean often because of that. Good luck weighing your options.

K&N 77-6016KS 77 Series Silver High-Flow Performance Intake Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I applied this intake to my 2008 Pathfinder, with the 5.6L V8.

I wasn't real impressed with the directions, there were a few bolts and steps that were not in the instructions.If you've spent a decent amount of time under a hood, you'll have no problems figuring it out.My biggest let down was in the quality of some of the parts.The crank case breather tube attachments are made from PVC, and when I screwed one of them into the K&N airflow manifold, it broke off because, well, it was made of PVC and not something more reasonable.The other PVC piece I had to leave loose in fear of breaking it off as well.

The pictures also showed two adjustable clasps that were not included in the kit.They weren't 100% necessary, but I'll end up buying those myself at some point..if the breather hoses come loose, the oxygen sensor will cause problems with the diagnostics system.

Overall the kit looks good after installation.If the PVC hadn't broke, I would've been done in 30 minutes.I'll write later about performance and sound.. since this removes some of the stock baffling, it tends to be a bit more noisy than stock, but that's a plus for me.

I'm only taking one star off, because I made it work to expectations, and I've never had a problem with K&N before.I'd like to see better parts on the breather tubes.The instructions are good enough for someone with average expertise to complete.

UPDATE:
This add-on is very... noisy.The mere sound of air induction under the hood can be surprisingly loud.Personally, I don't mind, it makes my 5.6L V8 sound like a race car.The air filter housing is open on the top, and there is no baffling in the intake tubing - which is the why this is so much louder than stock.The hood is meant to "seal" the top of the air filter housing, but the seal is not very good.The housing can be adjusted to close the gap, but this is not easy to manipulate.If you wanted to spend some time on it, you could cut the noise down to a minimal level.I was considering exhaust, but now I have no desire to get those aggressive deep tones when I already get them from the engine compartment.During normal acceleration, the noise is nearly non-existent.

AEM 24-6110C Gun Metal V2 Induction System Review

I did own a 2000 Accord and used the original cold air intake and then later upgraded to the V2 when it was developed and I liked the sound and performance of the V2 more. So on to the new one for my 2006 Accord V6...

PROS:
Fit and Finish
Audible throttle response
Cleaner look in the engine bay
Noticeably better low end response

CONS:
Removal of stock resonator is a pain (especially with factory fog lights)
Having to drain coolant (not much of an issue and 1 gallon is not required to be drained)
Unlike the 4 cyl V2 I had for my 2000, the V6 version has a distinctly different intake tone (it is not as audibly pleasing as it was for the 4 cyl)
Removal of the battery to install, this is Honda not AEM
Kit does not come with Nylok nut, just a regular nut (I have plenty of fasteners at my disposal and found a Nylok to use)
Finally the new dry flow air filter (May flow as good as K&N but it requires 2 whole bottles of AEM dry filter cleaner to be cleaned and looks as if it may need to be cleaned more often, and unfortunately I do not have any spares at this time to install while I wait for it to dry)

Overall I am pleased, the fit is better than I expected, I did put some foam between the pipe and body to prevent scratches and rattles on the contact point just rearward of the battery. I gave it 4 stars because of the filter, since I have used K&N filters for nearly 15 years I have plenty of cleaner and oil for those filters, now I will need to buy something else or just order a K&N to fit. Also not a big deal but my box did not have a license plate frame in it, and as stated did not come with a Nylok nut per the parts list, did get a nice grommet that was not listed though (no use for it). If you are looking to get more response from your Accord, then this intake can do it.

I will post some pics of the install since Amazon does not have any except the one I used from the manual.

Tornado KI75 Stainless Steel Air Insert Review

(More customer reviews)Despite what amazon says as of July 10, 2010 this item DOES NOT FIT the Acura 2007 TL Base model.You can see what the correct filter looks like on another product made to fit the TL - K&N 33-2379 Replacement Air Filter.It should not be rectangular, but rather have a bit of an indent.The Wix website lists the correct filter model as 49224 -- NOT 49063.

I submitted feedback to get Amazon to stop suggesting this product to owners of the 2007 Acura TL, but I'm not too confident in the customer service representative I spoke with.

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent cabin air filter, BMW has 2 types of filter available for the above models - one with carbon and one without, while both BMW versions are expensive, the non-carbon variant is slightly cheaper but tends to let in exhaust and other odours. This TYC filter is carbon impregnated and I have found works as well as or better that BMW's carbon filter, at a fraction of the price of the BMW or OEMs. I highly recommend it. also very easy to change on the 5 series (2004 onwards).

Airaid 200-912 Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product for my 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500 hoping to gain a little towing power and better gas mileage. I already have a Flowmaster muffler (also purchased on Amazon)(only replaced muffler no other exhaust mods.), a throttlebody spacer, and an open airfilter. The Avalanche has a computer that tells you the average and instant miles per gallon. After adding the Airaid intake pipe my average miles per gallon went from 15.5 miles per gallon with previous modifications to 15.8 with the intake tube. This is on a 85,000 mile truck that drives almost 50/50 in town and highway. I think that is pretty good since the EPA rating for the truck when new was 17 highway. You also gain a noticeable boost in full throttle excelleration. Some of the hills on the highway that the truck used to downshift on to maintain speed it now powers up without downshift. I think it was worth the money and will eventually pay for itself over time. It will also most likely become a bigger asset after the next modification, short tube headers.

The directions were very concise and descriptive, with great photos. It took me @ 1.5 hours to install both with basic tools. I feel like I gained 20-25 HP in the low to mid power band! It made my stock exhaust sound more aggressive at full throttle! I would highly recommend these add ons for more performance at a reasonable price.
