reason for 4 stars vs 5... Directions in the kit are poor quality at best.
the pictures are what make it easier to assemble.
this kit was for my 2003 Tacoma, although the kit online at True Flow said this was the correct kit, the instructions and box matched thru 2002 toyota tacoma. same motor & setup as my 2003 V6. Works like a champ.
1. Have your tools ready.
2. Cross check to make sure all parts fit prior to assembling.
3. Rear hose requires you to change a bracket. easy
4. Clean the air box inside and out.
5. If the filter has excess oil (juice) clean up
6. Required about 1 hour to take apart old setup and assemble this one.
7. Disconnecting battery allows the sensors to reset, also loses your odometer (1 & 2) not over all mileage.
when complete you will notice a slighty more pronounced air sound while driving. no big deal. have not noticed a mileage increase yet since its only been driven a few miles around here and to store and back. expect minor gain.
Like the product, over time saves dollars and environment.
