(More customer reviews)this intake is very load on my 2001 toyota 4runner ,was trying to get better fuel mileage and a little more push at 70 mph , it makes so much noise i could not wait to get home from the lake , passengers where frowning and asking a lot of questions ,while pulling the pontoon down to the dock it made an constant waaaaahhhhhhwaaaahhhh which drove us all crazy, it kind of sounded good but my buddy said he couldhear nothing while i was pulling off, all the noise was coming from the intake , i was only able to hear this when i stomped the gas peddle to the floor and pulling hills hauling my yamaha pwc ,and a constant sound while pulling the pontoon , but the main problem is a constant zzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzsszszszszszszszs, sound coming from the filter, that drove me crazy! so this is what i done, i cut it in half using only the top half reinstalled the oem air box with the mass flow- and the extention connected to it then the spectre with hose and clamps to connect to the throttle body , ordered an spectre oem airfilter, and this litle modification sounds great! nice tone from the back of the car not the front.
