(More customer reviews)I installed this with my mechanic friend in my 1999 Ford F150 XLT with a 4.6L V8 engine.
First off, the stock breather hoses are way too puny for how my engine was "shaped", the tiniest curve made them kink, which is unacceptable.
I replaced the tubes with some thicker higher-quality ones and that problem was solved.
Next, the truck was making an odd honking noise every now and then, and the rpm would dip down into the 300s, which I traced to the IAC meter, the rubber insert Spectre provided was slightly warped and was not sealing perfectly.
Now that I've replaced THAT, everything works great. I got a 12hp increase, as well as over 10ft-lbs of torque. It sounds pretty good, but not amazing.If I could go back before purchase, I would have waited and got the K&N instead.
